I live and breathe food and have for almost 50 years. Who makes it, what ingredients are they using, how can I make it healthy, is it meant to be an indulgence? Oh, that spice mix they’re using sounds Lucious, hmmm, can I make it? Hey, how did they do that? What happens when I try that?

In my earlier years, I spent time on the west coast and experienced some of the healthiest food I didn’t know existed. One meal was vegetable lasagna. Whaaaat!!! I peed green for a week! Listen, no judging, this was 30 years ago. I expanded my horizons and began to taste, and dissect every single new dish, spice, and beverage I could find. What a world I was missing. It was there while I was looking for "myself", I thought cooking would be a great career.

I came back to the east coast and began a catering business. It would grow to include baking cakes, cookies, and pastry for all occasions. Teaching cake decorating classes to a host of stay at home moms and their kids. Continue my learning by taking classes with some of the best bakers and 3D cake creators of the '80s. I learned to use the right tools and stock the best kitchen pantry. I collected plenty of recipes and good friends. I read countless books and articles on food and lifestyles. I practiced techniques and had bonding facials until I couldn't stay awake any longer. Traveling to find new food, new lifestyles of the people in the new area. That is what I do with myself. The meditative sound of the ocean, the hot sand on my bare feet, the beach fires at night (deep breath) I love that too. How do I put it all together?

Owning my business and making lemonade with lemons, is what brought me to where I am today. Word of mouth is how my business grew and expanded. Computer technology was not around and the internet was a twinkle in Tim Berners-Lee’s eye. I was having children and became a busy dedicated mom for the next 20 years. The kids in high school and divorce led me to college. When life gives me lemons, I make lemonade. Yes, sometimes I bite the lemon and have a shot of Tequila with it.

I earned my degree in Technology. Yep, I am a trained computer programmer. I spent 10 years building websites, cracking code, fixing bugs, teaching users how to use their software. With this career, I traveled to the Southeast part of the United States. It gave me a whole new insight to FOOD and new lifestyles! The places, the stories, the famous local food, and the connections I made are all that fuel my passion.

The best memories we have are gathered around the kitchen table. It is food that brings the memories and emotions back to us. It’s about that feeling you get when you are brought to a moment so lively and vivid that you can smell and taste what you’re reading. It brings you to that place, that memory around the kitchen table, and the excitement of the new trends in food and lifestyle that I bring to your readers.

This is my journey through life. Where my passion began.  The education I have gained and the experience I have will move your dream, your brand to a higher level. Reach out, let’s have coffee. I would LOVE to hear from you.
